Frequently asked.

How do I track a session I forgot to log?
Tap the day in the Calendar view, then "View sessions" → tap the + button to add a session manually. You can also edit existing sessions by tapping them.
I just started using the app but I've been wearing aligners for weeks, can I add my history?
Yes. Go to Settings → "Backfill past treatment." You'll be able to estimate your wear time over the period before you started tracking. The app marks these as estimated rather than tracked.
Why didn't I get a switch reminder?
Make sure notifications are enabled for 22 Hours in iOS Settings → Notifications → 22 Hours. Reminders fire at 8 PM the night before your switch and 7:30 AM the day of.
Does 22 Hours sync across my devices?
Yes. When you're signed into iCloud on iPhone and iPad, 22 Hours mirrors your data through your private iCloud database automatically. We never see it; only you do.
How do I reset my treatment?
Go to Settings → Danger zone → "Redo onboarding." Your wear history will be kept; just the treatment configuration is reset.
Can I track multiple treatments?
Yes. Within a single treatment plan, 22 Hours follows your initial run plus any number of refinement courses. When your orthodontist hands you a new set of aligners — whether mid-treatment or after the initial run — go to Settings → Adjustments → "Start refinement." Each course gets its own aligner count, cadence, and daily goal, and your wear history carries through.
Are backfilled sessions counted in my stats?
No. Statistics like streaks, weekly average, and goal hit rate count only real tracked sessions, not estimated history. Backfilled sessions are still visible in your Calendar and History views.
Where does my data live? Is it private?
All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework, and in your iCloud, so it stays in sync across your devices. We don't operate a server, run analytics, or have access to your information. Read the full privacy policy.
